Carla Schneider
With over 15 years of experience in the optical industry, Carla is both a seasoned professional and a lifelong wearer of glasses and contact lenses. She holds an Advanced Certificate in Paediatric Optometry and is known for her warmth and unwavering passion for eye care. When she’s not helping clients achieve their best vision, you’ll likely find Carla with a pair of roller skates strapped to her feet.
Sam Schneider
Originally from Canada, Sam graduated from the University of Waterloo in 2013 after completing an ocular disease internship in Houston, Texas. Now based in Australia, he combines clinical expertise with a friendly, approachable style. Playing guitar in bands, Sam is always happy to talk music, golf, and occasional Titanic trivia between eye exams.
Wayne McCarthy
Originally from Bundaberg, QLD, Wayne is a highly experienced optometrist with over 30 years in clinical practice. His mum is not happy that he's now spent more time in WA than QLD. Known for his empathetic manner and precision, Wayne is passionate about helping clients achieve optimal eye health and vision outcomes. Wayne remains youthful by playing touch rugby and taking wisdom from Calvin and Hobbes.
Barry
With over four decades in the optical industry, Barry brings deep expertise in dispensing, mechanics, and training. A strong advocate for customer service, Barry ensures clients receive eyewear that fits both their vision and lifestyle with comfort, confidence, and style. When not in the shop, you can find him sinking birdie putts on the golf course.
Jen
Jen is a trained orthoptist with over 20 years’ experience in optical fashion. Her clinical knowledge and styling expertise make her a go-to for frame and lens advice. Warm and welcoming, Jen enjoys helping clients feel confident and cared for—always with a smile and a genuine passion for eye care. Jen loves all things food and wine, and enjoys pub trivia.
Sam
Originally from South Africa, Sam has called WA home since 1991. She owned her own graphics business for over a decade, and her passion for optics began in 2013. Sam is the number one fan at her two sons' basketball and soccer games. She also enjoys pilates and spending time with her two cavoodles, Leroy and Hershey.
Olivia
Olivia loves finding the perfect frame for everyone! She fine tuned her knowledge of lenses in 2025 when she finished her certificate IV in optical dispensing. When not dispensing, Olivia enjoys training at the gym and CrossFit.
